8th Annual Middletown International Film Festival

The Middletown International Film Festival announces its 8th season of screenings of the best films from around the world. Sponsored by CT Humanities, the Middletown Commission on the Arts (MCA) and the Friends of the Russell Library, the screenings take place on Thursdays, October 6—November 10, at three different venues: Russell Library, Middlesex Community College, and Wesleyan University CFILM. Films include: The Second Mother (10/6), Rhymes for Young Ghouls (10/13), Horses of God (10/20), The Good Road (10/27), Aftermath (11/3) and The Fool (11/10). See below for more details. Each screening has free admission and parking, and includes a brief introduction and Q&A after the film. Refreshments served. Accessible to people individuals with disabilities.

Horses of God(France/Morocco, 2012)
A dramatization of the lives of the men responsible for the suicide bombings in Casablanca in 2003.The film follows the men’s lives from childhood, giving viewers an unexpected look at how radicals are created.
